Weddings at St. Elizabeth Seton
Congratulations on your engagement, and best wishes to you as you
prepare for your marriage
here at St. Elizabeth Seton Church. We want you to have the best experience
of your lives as you prepare for the big day. Marriage is the most
important step in your lives, and the Church wants you to understand
that besides being bonded to one another, you are bonded to Almighty
God by a sacrament to strengthen you in the spiritual life that ennobles
that bond. Beginning your marriage in church further emphasizes this
spiritual union. The guests you invite to witness the ceremony are
asked to not only share the joy of the moment, but also to pray for
the success of your bond.
Those who are contemplating marriage should contact the rectory
office as soon as possible, preferably eight months before the marriage.
If a couple resides outside of St. Elizabeth Seton Parish, a letter
from their pastor is required for delegation for the marriage.
