Dear Brides and Grooms,
Welcome to Saint Elizabeth Seton Church. I am the music director/organist
of this church. I am excited to help you with the music for your wedding.
At left are links to important webpages. The Order of Music Form is
a PDF file that you will fill out and send to me. You have the opportunity
to hear selections we offer in the Music Selections link at left.
There is also a checklist to help you with the music selection process.
The music and musicians playing these pieces on the audio files are
members
of our Saint Elizabeth Seton Church music staff. There is also a list
of other musicians for your consideration.
All these musicians are qualified and experienced Catholic Church musicians.
You must give these musicians first approval to help you with your wedding
music. If these musicians are not available to help you with your wedding
I will get other musicians from this area that I will train to help
with your wedding. If you must hire someone from outside of this list
then it is appropriate to offer our musicians his/her customary fee.
I get a list of all the weddings at this church ahead of time and I
have already arranged to be there for your wedding. My top priority
is to be sure the music for your wedding is beautiful and appropriate
for this church.
Take your time to listen to all the selections on our audio listing.
The music is traditional, reverent and peaceful. I suggest that you
make sure you are at a quiet part of your day as you listen so that
you can reflect on the lyrics and melodies.
I would also advise you to listen to the files in parts because it is
a lot of music to digest in one sitting.
The musicians on the audio files are interchangeable. This means a woman's
voice can be exchanged for a man's voice and vice versa.
This is true for the instruments as well. It is up to you to choose
the best combination for your wedding. Each musician has his or her
own fee. My fee is two hundred dollars as are most of the other musicians.
Call me if you have concerns in this regard. Weddings can be managed
with just organ/piano alone.
We do welcome a special guest soloist to help with your wedding. If
you have someone who is qualified to sing or play one special piece
have that person call me so we can make practice arrangements. I hope
this letter answers many of your concerns for your music. Enjoy the
packet I am available to visit at the organ every weekend.
Our mass schedule is Saturday 4:30, Sunday 8:30, 10:00 and 11:30.
