March For Life - January 2011

Pilgrims from Falmouth and other parts of the Cape traveled to the "March for Life" on the "Cape Cod Bus for life "and joined many other Diocesan pilgrims for the events. The spirit of the March is always uplifting, and the amount of people grows with each succeeding year. Conservative estimates for this year's march were well over 200,000. It is especially encouraging to see the tens of thousands of young people there who truly realize that "a person's a person no matter how small "and know that because of abortion many of their peers are missing. There were some events just for young people and these were overflowing, as was the Mass at the Basilica on the eve of the March. We had our own Mass for the Cape Cod participants on the morning of the March, and on the day after we had a special Mass with Bishop Coleman for all the Diocesan pilgrims in St Matthew's Cathedral, before we headed home.
We thank our participants for a worthwhile cause.
